History of The Tapes Formed in 1981, the original line-up was: Colin Pheasant (guitar and vocals) Ian Wilson (guitar and vocals) Mick Haselip (bass and vocals) Al Brodie (drums) I was the main songwriter and lead vocals, other musicians to have played with The Tapes were: Tony Haselip (guitar)(recording) Andy Still (bass) Roy Walker (drums) Roy Garlick (drums) Some bloke called Andy from Brixworth (drums) Alex Henderson (drums) Big Jim from Corby (drums) (can you see a pattern forming??) Anyway, let's fast forward to 2000, when the line-up was: Colin Pheasant (guitar and vocals) Ian Wilson (guitar and vocals) Andy Hempkin (drums) Jeff Garlick (bass) ... into Premier Studios in Corby to record 'The Tapes' the album, finished in September 2001. The only overdubs are on 'You Know - I Know' and 'October Saturday'. All the rest were recorded live!
